Rooted in the Past?

 In Blog

Just the phrase “rooted in the past” speaks volumes – and yet many companies are still just that. Oh, they may have changed leadership, and even engaged in mergers and acquisitions in an effort to reinvent themselves, but even then, the firms they are acquiring are also rooted in their past. Integrating those two pasts to create a future is one of the hardest things firms face, and yet I often see this very big elephant in the room go unaddressed. Everyone gets busy proving their value, while ignoring their culture. Is your firm in need of some serious cultural assessment and renovation? Can you and should you forget the past in order to forge the future?
